Hi! I'm Katie, a poet-turned-photographer, and there's a decent chance I'll cry at your wedding. My husband Adam is equal parts fine-artist & mad-scientist-tinkerer, always on the forefront of camera technology. Together we're the heart and the brains of Fortunate Hearts, a photo-video duo dedicated to telling love stories for dance floor couples, the creatively daring, and the adventurous & open hearted.

Every moment of a wedding day is a poem: a sonnet about putting on the dress and doing up all those beautiful little buttons. The most poignant couplet in the way the light reflects on your dad's tears. The best line of an epic in the way the sun hits just right on a couple during portraits at sunset. To be able to commemorate these moments in images for people - it's just the most amazing thing in the world. Photographing weddings is a way for me to finally tell love stories that matter.
